03) Nion-the ash tree (February 18 - march 17) 2.50EUR

Ref: CVCAL03

Celtic tree calendar

Symbolism: The ash is related to the strength of water. It is regarded as a talisman against the drownings and also against the snakes. Each cultures associates it to famous gods, such as Poséidon or Odin. For the Celts, the ash tree is linked to Gwyddion, for whom it breaks the ground and calls for the fertilizing rains. Indeed, this third month is, in celtic lands, the month of the floods.
