07) Huathe-the hawthorn (May 13 - june 9) 2.50EUR

Ref: CVCAL07

Celtic tree calendar

Symbolism: The hawthorn of May is associated to the goddess Maïa, and corresponds to a period of meditation before the beautiful days. During this period, in the classical world, people used to purify themselves, to keep old clothing and abstinence. For the Welsh, the hawthorn is linked to Yspadadden who prevents the marriage of Olwein , his daughter, with Arthur’s nephew, Kulwuch.

Sold under a protective blister, with its white fabric-like enveloppe, and an explicative file. Made in France. Design also available as a matted print on this website.
