09) Duir-the oak tree (June 10 - july 7) 2.50EUR

Ref: CVCAL09

Celtic tree calendar

Symbolism: The oak tree is the king tree of the forests in Northern Europe. As a majestic and powerful tree, it is regarded as the main tree, center of the world and pivot around which time turns. It is, like Janus, the guard of the door (duir is close to dwr in Sanskrit, which means door in English) which closes the period of solar growth. It is the tree of thunder and lightning, and consequently the tree of Zeus, Thor or Dagda.

Description: Folding greetings card, printed on one side, dimension 10,5x14,5cm (dimension when open 21x14,5cm) on a paper 160g, PEFC certified. Sold under a protective blister, with its white fabric-like enveloppe, and an explicative file. Made in France. Design also available as a matted print on this website.
